Why is my electric blanket not working?

Electric blankets warm the bed through wires than run through the blanket. If your blanket is not working correctly, it’s most likely due to a loose connection between the plug, the cord, and the controller. Check the connections before throwing out your old electric blanket and buying a new one.

Then plug the power cord into a electrical outlet, turn the blanket “on” and set it to the highest setting. Wait for a few minutes (never more than 7), then place your hand between the folds to check if the blanket is heating. If not, you may want to try and reset it or contact Sunbeam’s helpline.

  • Our electric blanket is flashing F2 we have checking everything over and over. This blanket is only been used 2 seasons. I feel ripped off

  • I bought this electric blanket last October 2022. It worked. Now it doesn’t. This control is constantly flashing, despite following ALL of the reset directions. I am for sure feeling ripped off. I will never buy this brand (which used to be a good brand) again. Its just more China crap!

  • I have two blankets, bought at the same time. They worked fine for a short time. Now they won’t come on or show any kind of display
